What is FPL Receipts?

A free Fantasy Premier League planner that records what the data said before each deadline, what you actually did, and what the gap between the two was worth.

The name is the product. A receipt is a record of a transaction you can't argue with later — and in FPL the transactions are your decisions. Which captain. Which transfer. Whether to take the hit. Whether to burn the chip this week or hold it.

Alongside the ledger it does the things a planner has to do: rates your squad out of 100, builds the strongest draft it can find for your budget, and picks a gameweek for each of your eight chips against your own fixtures.

Why keep a receipt at all?

Because memory is a terrible auditor, and FPL is a game where the same mistake made thirty-eight times is what actually costs you the season.

The captain who hauled is remembered. The five weeks of the alternative quietly outscoring your pick are not. Nobody keeps count of the -4s that never paid for themselves, and everyone can recall the one that did. Left to memory, a season becomes a highlight reel — which feels good and teaches you nothing.

A ledger makes the pattern visible. Not "you got that one wrong", which is noise, but "across twelve weeks your captain picks are eighteen points behind the obvious alternative", which is a habit and can be fixed.

How does the receipt work?

It snapshots the data's pre-deadline call, records what you did instead, and scores both against what actually happened.

What is a captain ledger?

A season-long running total of every armband: your pick, the model's pick, and what each actually scored.

Captaincy is the single highest-variance decision in FPL — it is double points, thirty-eight times a season — and it is the one almost nobody audits. One week's difference tells you nothing; it is noise. Twelve weeks of differences is a signal, and it usually says one of three things: your captaincy is fine and your transfers are the problem, you are consistently too safe, or you are consistently chasing last week's haul.

How is this different from other FPL tools?

Everything else in this space projects forwards. Nothing scores you backwards against your own decisions.

There are good projection sites, good price-change trackers, good live-rank tools. They all answer the same question — what should I do next? — and they all forget the answer the moment the deadline passes. None of them come back afterwards and tell you what the last answer was worth.

That gap is the whole reason this exists. Projections are a commodity; the FPL API gives everyone the same expected-points numbers. What nobody has is a record of your decisions, scored honestly, accumulating across a season.

Free, and no. There is no login, no email, and your FPL password is never involved — everything saves in your own browser.
